With the software and hosting options available today, starting a blog is easy. Indeed, you can have a blog up and running in hours. These blogs are often customizable down to the smallest detail, so they will look exactly the way you want.
But, just being able to start a blog very quickly doesn't necessarily mean you should do it. Rather, you should take the time to carefully plan your blog before you make it public. If you plan carefully, you can avoid having to make confusing or difficult changes after the blog has launched. Before you jump into blogging, here are some things to think about.
First, who should have a blog? People who feel as if they have something important or relevant to say that other people would find interesting should consider blogging. For example, if you are starting a new hobby and want to share what you learn while you learn it with others, you might want to start a blog. Other people start blogs to post their opinions on products or services.
A person who owns a business should also consider starting a blog related to that business. Adding keyword rich blog posts is a great SEO opportunity that can drive traffic to your website. These posts create new, updated content which search engines like to see and will rank well. If you allow comments, those comments will also serve as constant updates to your material, keeping it fresh and relevant to the search engines. A blog also allows customers to easily get alerts to important information such as sales or changes in product or service offerings. Some business owners use their blogs to share information on how to best use the product to help customers.
Before starting your blog, make a decision about what you want the blog to accomplish. If you're running a personal blog, it can help to choose a subject or two to focus on. Some people have found success with a more general approach to blogging, but if you want to use the blog as a source of income, it's better to choose a single topic or a couple of related topics and focus on that. How to host your blog is something else you'll need to decide in advance. While a free site hosted by a blog hosting company is the cheapest option, it also limits your options. Purchasing hosting from another source allows for more customization, but also requires a bit more work. This will also require that you purchase your own domain name and install additional software.

The post is great. But as a blog can be based on any topic and each person has something different in him/her (hidden or shown, developed or not), I feel any person can blog if he uses his skills to create his own conclusions.
ReplyDeleteBut if its just based on business one can focus more on points like people's interest, demand etc.
